Population
The United States of North America has a population around 310 millions, but the density is only of 33 inhabitants for km 2. I was in Baltimore, New York and Washington, located East of the country. According to the city, they are more or less crowded. For example, New York, with  near of 8'500.000 inhabitants is more crowded than Baltimore with approximate 700.000 inhabitants or  Washignton, with a few more 600.000 inhabitants.
The capital of the country, Washington, is really neightbours of Baltimore and New York. The first is located at  60 km. Northwest from Washington D.C., at one and half hours by car. The second, New York, is three hours from Baltimore by car, taking the 95 Interestatal freeway northbound.  
Location
Is a extensive country with  9'632.030 km2 and occupy the continent's central strip. It borders to the north with Canada and south with Mexico, the west coast  with Atlantic Ocean and the east coast with de Pacific Ocean. It territory too includes the state of Alaska and the islands of Hawai.
Landscape
The landscape of the United States can be divide in four big regions. The Apalaches mountains system, located almost parallel to the Atlantic coast; the Great Central Plaine; at West the Rocky Mountains with the rivers Misuri, Platte, Arkansas and Gand River; and, finally,  the extensive plain in the eastern sector of the country with the rivers Hudson, Delawerw, Susquehanna,  Potomac and Savanahh.
WeatherThe climate is varied in the United States because  it's length. Is posible to find tropical climates in Hawaii and Florida, arctic in Alaska, the Californian temperature and humid in the Northeast States. Also is a country whit all  stations: spring, summer, autumn and winter.Public tranasportThe most usual transport is by car, bus, taxi. In the large cities as New York, Washington, Baltimore, Miami, Los Angeles, for example, also the metro system is very common. Most cities and towns in the United States are connected by air through important lines.  Can be crossed by plane in five hours from east to west and two hours north to south. History The United States got the independence from England the July 4, 1776, when 13 colonies declared themselves free. The country grew geographically by annexation of Mexican states. Also grew demographically with the massive influx of European immigrants. After the Second Mundial War, this country, comprised of federal states, was established as the leading economic power, military and politics worldwide.
Other important celebration is the thanks given day that started  with the pilgrims and the American indians.Is celebrated the last thursday of november, and is a day to thanks for all the good things.
Some of the traditional customs are Valentine's Day that is celebrated on february 14, St Patrick Day on march 17 in honor of the irish patter, and Halloween day in october 31.
Tourist attractions and things to do.
The down town of the three cities that I visited have famous sights. The Baltimore's harbor, beside the Patasco River, is a very touristic place, also the Camdem Yards Stadium of  baseball, the Convention Center and the statues's George Washington and Lafayette in the so-called Mount Wernon, althought the true Mount Wernon was situated in the Virginia state.(In the American Revolution, Lafayette served as a major-general in the Continental army under G. Washington).
New York is indeed the capital of the world. There are many buildings from different arquitecture styles and dimensions.  The  most symbolic building is the Empire State, when it was constructed in 1931,  was the tallest building in the World. Today it's the tallest building in New York City.Over there is always possible
to take tours during all the day or the night and to see  Central Park, Broadway (stretch of Broadway is famous as the heart of the American industry theater), Times Square, Wall Street althougt whihout the Twins Towers, the Rockefeller Center, the Fifth Avenue, Soho, the  Houdson River with the Statue of Liberty (the colossal neoclassical sculpture, a gift made  in 1886 to the United States from the people of France) an iconic symbol of freedom; the Brooklyn Bridge. All, all, over there is interesting, long and wide.
The Washigton D.C. is a city more quiet than New York. The main tourist attraction is the so-called Washington Mall. There is the Capitol, the obelisk, the Lincoln monument, the Smithsonian Museum and several monuments in honor of the combatants in different wars.
Cost
The United States is an expensive country. For example  in a fast food restaurant a soda cost US$3,25  a chicken sandwich US$12,99 and an order of french fries US$5. A night in a not expensive Hotel in New York, 3.5 stars cost US$180.  In starbucks thas is a coffee shop similar to our Juan Valdez a cup of black coffe cost US$2. The tour around New York that works like our Turibus cost for 48 hours US$54 adults and US$44 children between 5 and 11 years old. The ticket to te MOMA (The Museum of Modern Art) cost US$20.
